I'ts just just an opinion. If you're someone that could easily set time consuming goals for yourself, which I did (do all quests, have a fully explored map, get all skills etc.), you can play this games for over 1000 hours. I've been addicted to Guild Wars like no other game, and I enjoyed it alot. If you couldn't spend more then 2 months with this game, that's just what you think of it, and maybe an other game fits you better. You can always take a break too, since I'm doing right now. I'm playing World of Warcraft untill GW: Factions is released, since I'll be bored by WoW by then.

PvP was intended to be the "endgame". I've finished the story with 3.5 characters and yeah, it gets rather boring.

Guild Wars is about gettign everyone to equal footing quickly, so the only reason to keep playing is for the fun associations, to get better looking equipment, and to increase your rank in PvP. I've finished the game with every profession and still enjoy playing when I have time.

World of Warcraft (which a lot of my friends play) has some cool loot you can get and it never seems to stop giving you more rare items to find, but the downsides are that you will never be on equal footing with people who played since it came out, you will pay every month for the right to grind away to try to catch up/keep up with them, and it doesn't get boring in the end game, but it does get tiring and tedious throughout.

If you are looking for longevity, get Halo. But if you are looking for an awesome game with gorgeous graphics, great fun and strategy, and that rewards skill over time, Guild Wars is definitely a clear winner and one of my all time favorite games.

I just had too many a roommate in college sucked into Counter Stike, so to me it was always boggling to the point that I see them as crazed speed induced youngin's, lol.
WASD keys is what many use, I myself always thought it was a hell :P

Rmouse= forward
Lmouse=primary fire
z=strafe left
x=strafe right
Lctrl=sec fire
Spacebar=backward
LAlt=jump
c=crouch
v=prone
Shift=reload

It works well because most of the movement is forward combined with left or right movement and shooting. I don't have to move my left fingers in akward positions to move, just resting on z & x and using when needed :P.

And yes I've completed GW with 4 chars and it does start to become a little bit boring now. I'd like to try the 2 remaining chars but I really don't like to do it all again for a 5th time. I've not done all of the harder missions in FoW/UW/SF so there's still a little bit to explore. Anyway for a game without monthly fees it isn't to bad.

I tried to play EVE for a while, talk about a truely boring game and it has monthly fees. Missions you play there are almost always the same missions, just with more difficult foes. And there time=power, the more time you own EVE the better you get. Mining for cash is also soooo boring, most boring game I've ever played.

FPS games, well the boring part is the maps, I'd like to see future MMOFPS with true quality. Just imagine a World of Counter Strike, hmmm I'd love it :P.

dont play with a WoW mentality of "got to do everything". Take your time and you will have fun.

I'd think GW was boring if I played it like I did my first character.

Did every quest, killed every mob to every town.. was level 20 by the time I reached maguuma jungle.

Character rushing, having friends help out... is what it's about, endgame stuff is always fun for me. [UW, FoW, trying out new 2-man builds where you should be using 8 men.. etc! and PvP of course ]
